Help Us Regenerate Urban Lakes

SoUL conducts monthly cleanups of Crescent Lake and Mirror Lake, and assists in cleanups at Round Lake, Meadowlawn Lake, Eagle Crest Lake, Jungle Lake and Lake Pasadena. Cleanup schedules are different for each lake: please review the calendar on this webpage and register on Eventbrite for times and dates. 

Where to meet: 

• Crescent Lake: Tasco Parking Lot, 1320 5th St N. 

• Round Lake: west side of lake in Round Lake Park.

• Mirror Lake: lake overlook on Mirror Lake Drive. 

• Jungle Lake: the boat ramp in Walter Fuller Park on 26th Ave N.

• Meadowlawn Lake: Meadowlawn Park by the playground

• Eagle Crest Lake: St Petersburg College campus parking lot.

• Lake Pasadena:  Lake Shore Drive and 64th St N.

What to expect:

Volunteers perform a wide variety of tasks designed to improve the lake. For all lakes, volunteers can either get in canoes or kayaks, or walk around in adjacent neighborhoods to pick up litter and help us keep track of the debris entering the lake. On many lakes, volunteers have the option of putting on chest waders and getting into the shallow edge of the lake to remove weeds and install plants. 

We try to match the volunteer to the task, as everything the volunteers do is helpful. We want to make it fun and give volunteers a sense of real accomplishment! 

Please bring water in a reusable container. All other supplies are provided. Wear closed-toe shoes. Hats are advisable!
